PU Cement Flooring for Commercial Kitchens
PU cement (polyurethane cement) is widely used in commercial kitchens and food areas because it handles heat, hot-water washdowns, fats and oils better than standard epoxy. It goes down as a seamless floor with coved skirting, so there are no joints for bacteria and water to collect in.

Inspect

Diamond grinding or mechanical preparation, then crack, joint and defect repairs. Most coating failures start here.

Install
Primer, body and top coats for the specified system, with coving, line marking or colour zones built in.

Correct cure time before traffic returns, plus care and cleaning guidance.

Common questions
How long will the kitchen be closed?
It depends on the area and preparation required. We plan timing with you to limit trading disruption.
Can you do the coved skirting?
Yes. Coved skirting is part of the system, as shown in our project photos.
Why not just use epoxy in a kitchen?
Standard epoxy is less tolerant of heat and thermal shock from hot washdowns. PU cement is generally the better choice for commercial kitchens.
